5 Ways I Actually Use AI in My Business Every Day (That Have Nothing to Do with Just Writing Captions)

I’ll be honest, at this point, I use AI more than I use Google.
ChatGPT doesn’t just help me write, it helps me think.
It’s like having a strategist, a storyteller, a spreadsheet interpreter, and a sounding board all in one tab.
And while a lot of people assume AI is just for writing social media captions (which it can do beautifully), that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Here’s how I actually use AI in my busines, every single day, to create better content, make smarter decisions, and free up brain space for the work I love.
1. For Building Deep-Dive Content Maps (So I Don’t Spin in Circles)
When I have 10 blog ideas, 3 potential lead magnets, and a new offer launch coming up, AI helps me organize it all into a strategic, step-by-step content map.
It lays out what to post, how to repurpose, and which formats to use.
It’s like Trello + a mind-reader.
✅ Try it: Ask AI to turn your blog draft into a launch content funnel (posts, reels, emails, and all).

2. For Elevating My Storytelling (When I Know the Story, But Can’t Quite Land the Hook)
I can feel the story, I know what I want to say.
But sometimes I need help shaping the arc or tightening the emotional beats.
I’ll literally paste a messy voice note transcript or brain dump into ChatGPT and say, “Make this more compelling. Keep my voice. Don’t make it cheesy.”
And it delivers. Every time.
✅ Try it: “Here’s a story I want to tell that reflects my approach to care. It’s messy and in note form. Can you help me shape it into a short Instagram caption that feels conversational but polished? Keep my voice: warm, grounded, a little witty. The goal is to make readers feel seen and build trust. Here are the rough notes: [INSERT BRAIN DUMP OR VOICE NOTE TRANSCRIPT]. Add a clear hook and a soft CTA that invites engagement.”
3. For Fast Repurposing Between Platforms (Because I Hate Starting From Scratch)
I’ll write a blog or newsletter and instantly ask AI:
👉 “Turn this into a carousel with 5 slides.”
👉 “Give me 3 tweet-style captions with this message.”
👉 “Now summarize it as a hook for a Reel.”
What used to take me 3 hours takes 20 minutes...with zero sacrifice in quality.
✅ Try it:
a 5-slide Instagram carousel (with suggested slide headers),
a tweet-style caption with a bold first hook
a 60-second Reel script that uses a storytelling-style hook?Tone: expert but empathetic. Keep medical accuracy but make it friendly. Blog below: [PASTE BLOG TEXT].”*
4. For Metrics, Money, and Decisions (Because I Need My Brain for Creativity)
I use AI to help me review website analytics, spot patterns in social performance, and even break down my financials. It’s not about outsourcing decisions—it’s about saving energy on the heavy lifting.
I’ll paste a CSV of my expenses and ask, “Summarize this by category. What’s trending up or down?”
Or I’ll feed in website metrics and say, “Where should I focus my next content push?”
✅ Try it: Use AI to interpret your social insights or Google Analytics and ask, “What content performed best, and why?”

5. For Brand Clarity & Creative Briefs (When I’m Too In It to See It Clearly)
Sometimes, I can’t see my own brand clearly, because I’m in it.
I’ll ask AI to summarize my voice, rewrite an About page, or even help me write a creative brief for myself.
The best part?
It remembers the things I say all the time, and reflects them back to me in ways I didn’t expect. It knows me. (Which is equal parts amazing and mildly terrifying.)
✅ Try it: You’re my content strategist. Based on the following offer, audience, and brand tone, help me map out a 4-week content plan that includes social posts, one blog, and 2 emails. Focus on educational and trust-building content that leads to this offer. Audience: women in perimenopause. Offer: a group hormone reset program(add your own niche and offer/freebie) . Brand tone: professional, warm, slightly cheeky. Avoid generic ‘wellness tips’ and make sure each post has a clear hook. Include post format recommendations too (carousel, Reel, static, etc).”
“Here are 4 recent Instagram captions I’ve written + my About Page copy. Can you create a brand tone guide that includes:
My voice (describe it in 2–3 adjectives),
Common phrases or sentence structures I use,
Topics I focus on,
Emotional tone (how I want readers to feel),and
A short paragraph that could be used as a ‘brand voice summary’ in a creative brief. This is for a naturopathic brand focused on hormone health for women 35–50.”

AI isn’t just a tool I use for convenience.
It’s become a co-creator, a mirror, and a shortcut to clarity—especially on the days when my brain is fried but my business still needs to move forward.
