01Who I am

Healthy AF* Co. is my marketing studio for naturopathic doctors and health practitioners, run by me, Lauren Hungler, from Ontario, Canada. I'm also the person responsible for your privacy here (the "privacy officer" the law asks for). You can reach me at info@healthyafco.com.

02What I collect

What you give me. Your name, email and practice details when you fill in the enquiry form, book a call or join the Weekly Drip. If we work together or you buy something, your contract and billing details too. Payments go through Stripe and ThriveCart, so I never see your full card number.

What your browser tells the site. Which pages you visit, roughly where you're visiting from, your device and how you found me. This only happens if you say yes to analytics cookies.

03Why I use it

• To reply when you get in touch.
• To run our work together: contracts, invoices, files and calls.
• To send the Weekly Drip, if you joined it.
• To see which pages help people, so I can make the site better.
• To keep the business records Canadian tax law asks for.

I don't use your information for anything else without asking you first.

04Email

You only get the Weekly Drip if you sign up for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one click takes you off the list.

05Cookies

Some cookies are needed for the site to work, like remembering your cookie choice. Those are always on.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and marketing cookies (ActiveCampaign site tracking) stay off until you say yes. You can change your mind any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

06Who else handles it

I use a small set of tools to run the business, and each one handles some of your information for me:

• Wix hosts this website and the blog.
• Google Analytics counts visits, with your OK.
• ActiveCampaign sends the Weekly Drip.
• HoneyBook runs enquiries, bookings, contracts and invoices.
• Stripe and ThriveCart take payments.
• Google Workspace holds email and shared files.

I never sell or rent your information, and I never share it for anyone else's advertising.

07Where it's stored

Some of these tools keep data on servers outside Canada, mostly in the United States. That means it can be subject to the laws of those countries. I choose tools with strong security and contracts that protect your data.

08How long I keep it

• Enquiries that don't turn into work: up to two years, then deleted.
• Client and purchase records: as long as Canadian tax law requires (six years).
• The Weekly Drip list: until you unsubscribe.

09Your rights

You can ask to see what I have about you, fix anything that's wrong, take back your consent, or have it deleted (unless the law says I have to keep it). Email info@healthyafco.com and I'll reply within 30 days.

If you're not happy with my answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.

10Keeping it safe

I use strong passwords, two-factor sign-in and tools that encrypt your data. If a breach ever put your information at real risk, I'd tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as quickly as the law requires.

11Kids

This site is for practitioners, not children. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

12Changes

If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top. Big changes go out in the Weekly Drip too.
