My New Currency Is Consistency: Why It Matters More Than Ever

“How do you create so much content? Not just for yourself—but for all the clients you work with?”
I get asked that a lot. And the answer isn’t some mystical strategy or a secret productivity hack.
It’s this:
I made consistency my currency.
Two years ago, I made a decision—that if I was going to do something, it had to be something I could show up for over and over again. No more start-and-stop energy. No more waiting for inspiration or chasing the next shiny idea. Just real, repeatable action.
And here’s the wild part? I used to hate some of the things I now love the most.
I couldn’t stand newsletters. I thought social media was a waste of time. I had zero interest in showing up online as “a professional.”
But I also knew I wanted to build something.
So I flipped the narrative.
I told myself:
If Sally Fit-Fluencer can go viral talking about gut health gummies, why can’t I—with actual credentials—use my voice to show up for the people who need real support?
Once I Decide, I’m In
That’s my energy now.
I decided to write a weekly newsletter. I named it The Weekly Drip and made it something I actually wanted to write. Now? It’s my favourite piece of content I create every week.
I decided to show up consistently on Instagram—even when the algorithm felt like a black hole. Now? It’s a cornerstone of my business.
I also decided to start a podcast once. Know what happened? I realized real quick it wasn’t the right fit for me in that season. So I said goodbye—without guilt, without shame, and definitely without a sad goodbye post.
Because consistency isn’t about doing everything. It’s about doing what works for you, over time, with intention.
Consistency Is the New Credibility
We’re in a digital world where people scroll past a thousand things a day.
Want to be remembered? Trusted? Referred?
Show up consistently.
It doesn’t mean posting every day or writing thousand-word essays every week.
It means choosing a rhythm that’s sustainable and sticking to it.
Refine in motion. Create as you go. Stop waiting for the perfect strategy and just start showing up.
Where Consistency Actually Counts
Let’s talk about the three core places consistency builds trust, authority, and visibility:
1. Social Media
This is your front porch. It’s where people meet you, get a feel for your energy, and decide if they want to stick around. You don’t need a viral reel—you need repeat exposure, clarity in your message, and a cadence that works for you (even if that’s 2x/week).
Pro Tip: Use templates, content pillars, and tools like BrandBrain AI so you're not starting from scratch every time.
2. Long-Form Content (Blog, YouTube, Podcast)
This is your library. The place people go deeper with you.If social media is the appetizer, this is the main course.Choose one platform where you can expand on your ideas—and create evergreen content that keeps working long after it’s posted.
Reminder: You don’t need to do all the platforms. You need to pick the one you can commit to.
3. Regular Email Content (aka: The Anti-Boring Newsletter)
Let’s be real—no one wants another “monthly newsletter.” What they do want is a fresh, human voice in their inbox that actually brings value.
Whether you send it weekly, biweekly, or monthly—name it, shape it, and commit to it.
Your email list is the one thing you own. Use it.

Final Thoughts: Make Consistency Your Filter
Before you jump into a new strategy, ask yourself:
“Can I be consistent with this?”
If the answer is yes—amazing. Build the system that supports it.If the answer is no—bless and release. It’s not for you right now, and that’s okay.
Consistency isn’t sexy. But it’s the most powerful thing you can build your brand on.
It’s how people trust you.
It’s how you create momentum.
It’s how you stop overthinking and start building something real.
So yeah… I’m still a fan of good strategy, a strong hook, and a scroll-stopping visual.
But what moves the needle?
Consistency. Always.
Want help making consistency feel easy instead of overwhelming?
Let’s get you set up with systems that support your voice and your rhythm—so showing up online doesn’t feel like a full-time job.
